Here's an interesting little group - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, a rootsy indie outfit from Los Angeles that features vocalist Alex Ebert of Ima Robot as the title character. The concept behind the band, Ebert once explained, was that Edward Sharpe was a Messiah-figure "...sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind, but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love." Happens to the best of us! Ebert, fellow vocalist/guitarist Jade Castrinos, and the rest of the Magnetic Zeros promise to put on a fine show tonight at Town Ballroom (681 Main St., Buffalo). Doors open at 7 PM. Tickets are $19.
