Hundreds showed up to support the Zoo and try some of Buffalo's best foods and drinks. There was live entertainment, Chinese and silent auctions and so much great food and drink.     • News Neediest Fund Kickoff

    • It's one of the largest holiday charity programs in Western New York. Warren Colville, President of The Buffalo News and Michael Weiner, President of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County lit the tree. The huge Christmas tree in the lobby at One News Plaza became the center of attention Tuesday morning as the News Neediest Fund kicked off. Choruses from Houghton Academy and East High School lended their voices to the occasion and ballerinas from the Nutcracker greeted kids from the HSBC Daycare, and teens from Clarence High School lended their support.

  • I moved my family away from Buffalo in 2006. I was born and raised in Buffalo and when I decided to have children, my thought was that it was a great place to raise my family. It wasn't until my second child that I found myself in the middle of a sea of violence, drugs, a dying job market and limited places to move to avoid it all. I miss Buffalo and if it ever reaches its old glory days, I'll be back.

  • I think that what took place sunday with the 2 shootings were senseless and the citizens that provided the police with info that allowed them to arrest the suspect should be honored at a galla at the end of the year for there bravery
