    • On Saturday, June 6, 2009, several hundred people gathered for a cycling event to support a great organization, the American Diabetes Association. They rode their bicycles on routes of 100, 62.5, 30, 25, 16 and 6 miles to raise funds, and awareness of a disease that affects millions of americans of all ages, from children to senior citizens. The sheer numbers of attendants and participants was so impressive, it exemplilfied the Western New York compassion. The weather was perfect, the participatants were excited, as were the sponsers, Heinrich Chevrolet and Independent Health, and the media. All in all, it was a perfect day for such an event. I am certain it made a signifacant impact for the association and their cause! Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and participated.
