Cruise night at the WareHouse in Blasdell had a huge turnout. It is the last of the season. There is a bike night tomorrow.
Willow Creek Winery in Silver Creek (Sheridan), New York hosted Chuck Wicks for Jammin at the Creek on August 9th. The day started out to be another rainy summer day for Western New York, but it managed to be a beautiful afternoon and early evening for my first Jammin at the Creek event. What a great venue and what a great show. The wine slushees were a bit of heaven in a glass and a small but friendly crowd made this event definitely memorable. The Willow Creek Winery does a great job of setting a comfortable, intimate setting for concerts and I hope to be out there again for another show.
"Erie County Fair" "August 16th, 2009" "Brooks and Dunn" "Eric Church" "Veterans’ Day at the Fair" "Daily Parade” ”On Stage with Brooks and Dunn” ”Calves, Sea Lions and Camels, Oh MY”

Thursday at the Square - July 30, 2009. I was pretty impressed with "Cornmeal." Its not typically my type of music but I couldn't stop my head and body from bobbing around nearly the entire time they played, and something about the music made me feel happy.

Niagara County Fair, August 5th, 2009 -- Dang it...I couldn't find the goldfish ping pong ball toss, had a ball fall a second too late in "I Got It", avoided temptation with all the fattening food, and still managed to have a good time. Great weather for a fair! And my first ever Tractor Parade! Yee-ha!
Canal Concert Series - Eddie Money - August 8th, 2009 -- Of all the "free" venues the city has, the Canal Concert Series has the best for people mingling, view of the stage and intersting mixes of people. I've been a fan of Eddie Money for years and have been excited to finally see him; with the number of concerts I have gone too, and the frequency he tours, not sure how I missed him before. Eddie had his daughter with him and from the sweat rolling off his back, he still gives it his all. He played all the favorites and a few surprises like "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", which he was able to pull off very well. He even came out to meet and greet fans at the end. You could see he was exhausted but still made time for the fans. Definitely a class act!

Tuesday in the Park - Peter Frampton - August 25, 2009
The Harbor in my opinion provides a great backdrop for some great live entertainment. Yet another two opening acts that have blown me away. Samantha Stollenwerck played an acoustic set and is another singer on the rise with a sultry spine tiggling voice, and Martin Sexton got the whole crowd dancing the happy dance. Bruce Hornsby, what can I say; what a great talent, and what stirring emotion. On a few numbers I even caught a few men in the audience shedding a tear. In one way I was glad the rain stayed away; but am still waiting for my Mandolin Rain which was sadly left off the playlist.

Canal Concert Series - July 24th, 2009 - I was sitting home bored on a Friday night, so I called Ben to see if I could photograph the Canal Concert Series in Lockport. "Kiss Me Deadly" was one of my college party songs, so I figured I'd check the show out. I was amazed by the diversity of the music and greatly enjoyed Tres Bien, The Flyin' Blind Blues Band and Lita Ford, but was absolutely blown away by the raw intensity of Montreal native Sass Jordan. I love those times in life you find an unexpected treasure and weren't even looking for it.

Blou has left us, but his work will continue for the Pet Emergency Fund and other animal causes.
